What is Zopiclone?

The last resort and ultimate solution to all your sleeping problems could be Zopiclone, which is a hypnotic drug belonging to the class of Z-drugs. This product is prescribed by doctors to manage and treat insomnia for the short term. Zopiclone is prescribed in combination with other treatment options like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to achieve better outcomes. (3)

If you wake up too early, have difficulty falling asleep, and lie awake for prolonged hours, Zopiclone can make you relax and sleepy by working on chemicals in your brain.

When your body does not respond to non-medication treatments, then Medicine are prescribed. It should never be used for more than four weeks because your body can get used to it or dependent on it.

How you fall asleep and stay asleep after taking Zopiclone is by the binding of GABA Z receptor chloride channel macromolecular complex – a benzodiazepine receptor. In combination with other benzodiazepines, Zopiclone increases the inhibitory effect of GABA receptors to exert their anxiolytic and hypnotic effects. (4)
